The MENACE science and technology effort is focused on developing a weapon agnostic payload integration capability that will permit advanced modular area effects payloads. To enable this capability, the development of a universal modular master safe & arm device (MMSAD) and platform specific, vehicle adapter module (VAM) are being developed and incorporating distributed fuzing architecture. The brief will include modeling and simulation of submunition expulsion techniques to enhance and optimize payload effects, conceptual integration schemes, safety compliance, and production schematics and progressions.
