Reduction in fuze physical size is critical to enable packaging fuzes in small form factor weapons and to enable increased functionality that programs demand. Northrop Grumman has developed and patented a miniature pulse switch technology to minimize the board area needed for the circuitry required to reliably fire the LEEFI for in-line fuzing systems. This miniature technology provides equivalent performance to the legacy Northrop Grumman pulse switch technology, which has proven to be robust and reliable over the past two decades. This paper will provide an overview of the miniature pulse switch and discuss the opportunity to procure this technology for use in the fuzing industry.
