Innoveering, LLC (now a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Aerospace) engineers have been working on the design, development, characterization, and extensive ground testing of our Micro-Environmental Sensor and Harvesting (MESH) sensor system. Our team will present an overview of the MESH sensor system, its requirements, design, analysis and test results: both flight qualification ground tests and the flight test results, which served to demonstrate the Mach detection capability of this sensor. The first flight test of the MESH sensor system was as a payload system on board Stratolaunch's Talon-1 (TA1) hypersonic vehicle. It successfully conducted its first free flight test in March 2024.
