The HI-ESAD project seeks to implement an externally configurable, fixed-in-structure IC that aims to integrate the safety feature logic into a single device, yet still be compliant with safety board requirements. The modular, configurable nature of the HI-ESAD will decrease development time, component count, power draw, and fuze real estate and allow for the adaptation of existing ESADs architectures to extended applications.
