Modern fuze requirements are driving a need for increased reliability and enhanced survivability in more challenging environments. L3Harris Fuzing and Ordnance Systems (FOS) is adding dual output capability to the Common Miniature Electronic Safety Device architecture to improve reliability and survivability in these critical applications. Adding dual output capability improves system reliability through use of redundant initiators but drives additional unique design considerations compared to the typical single output approach.
