Joint Enhanced Munition Technology Program (JEMTP) has recently funded multiple projects/studies with applications in unmanned aerial systems (UAS's). The P20-G3-A6-023 project demonstrated a UAS detecting predefined environments with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) sensors. The S22-G2-A6-028 study demonstrated the use of AI/ML in detecting the transition of a UAS from an unsafe region to a safe region. This project (P24-G3-A6-006) is being funded by JEMTP to bridge both the recent project and study to demonstrate the effectiveness of AI/ML in assisting the COTS sensors in detecting the recently defined environments. A brief study into the effectiveness of AI/ML with multiple UASs in a collaborative environment will also be conducted.
